She knows his moods, and she knows his secrets, and she knows his smiles, and above all, she knows his faults. She, more than anyone else, has a pretty good idea of what she’d be getting into. She has enough information to make the best decision for herself, or for him, or for both of them.

This story is the literal best.

A Pepperony Snippet

The gossip magazines take notice of their apparent coupledom. Tony wants to make a statement, of course. He can barely keep his mouth shut about anything his hyperactive attention span deems IMPORTANT. Pepper, however, does not want to bring any more scrutiny onto themselves than their already public lives garner. And, after she (mostly figuratively) steps on his foot the first five or six times he tries to make an “announcement,” Tony seems to start understanding her point of view. He makes an attempt to self-censor and she makes an attempt to stop bruising his toes.

Consumed with Loki/Sigyn feels.

What if, in Marvel movie!verse, Sigyn knew she was the only one who could truly stand between Loki and the rest of the realms? What if she knew she could bind him without destroying herself, but what is INSIDE him… What if that required a sacrifice? A truly great one?

In my head canon Sigyn is still Incantation Fetter. She has a gift for binding the powers of others. But the greater the binding, the more she is required to give - not just her time, energy, and strength, but sometimes physical pieces of herself. And to bind Loki (and whoever is working with/through him), requires more than a piece. And one day, on the verge of winning what would be a decisive battle, Sigyn comes to Loki, Sigyn Incantation Fetter and Victory-bringer - and he KNOWS. Because my Sigyn comes from a conquered people, and she HATES it. Hates seeing anyone being forced to yield to another.

So when Sigyn comes to him, on that battlefield, Loki’s ego may allow him to believe for a moment that she has come to join him, has come to throw her powers behind him and rule beside him. But the knife in her hand cuts in more than one way, and he’d know before she acted what her true purpose was. Because I think she’d be willing to die to preserve the freedom of the realms. And he’d know that. And the only reason he’ll get to keep her forever despite all their differences is because it’s her life that’s binding him, turning him into an empty vessel for the power he used to be able to command.

Cadmean Victory

Well, this is a tale of Loki and Sigyn, and the lengths it is possible to go to when the price of victory is unlimited.

This fic draws more on legend than the movies. If there are any other influences, it would be Thor comic!verse, where Asgard does come to an end before being re-established/reborn/reincarnated. At one point, this story was merely a prologue to something more, a story where Sigyn was reborn after Ragnarok, but had given up her powers so that she could live a mortal life and die a mortal death, figuring that would be kinder than the life she’d previously had. Now it is a story of how she redefines and demands victory in her name, despite what it will cost Loki.

Summary: Sigyn empties her bowl and returns to him with the faithfulness of the tides.

Folie Á Deux, or The Madness of Two

So, once upon a time, a long, long time ago, 4persephone and I started a lovely little AU-Pepperony fic where Pepper was a little bit psychic and in the wake of the happenings of Iron Man 1 she accidentally connected her mind to Tony’s.

And then I had the brilliant urge to rewrite an unfinished fic that’s still a work in progress, and we came up with this gem (which is as of right now, exclusive to tumblr).

Pepper falls asleep clutching her phone.

She dreams that Tony tries to call her, except he’s not safe. People are firing guns in the background, a sound interrupted by the harsh clamor of larger explosions and the stink of fired munitions.

The Realm Eternal

So, this is a Thor fanfic in which none of the characters from the movie appear. Because that’s how all the cool kids are doing it these days. :) Sigyn, for those of you who are only familiar with the movies, is the wife of Loki in both myth and comic canon. I find her a delightful character because if you choose to ignore comic canon (as I often do), then she’s a completely blank slate of a character which allows for some wonderful freedom. Personally, I tend to write her as an observer of all these characters we love so much. I write her as someone who is caught up in the politics of the worlds she lives in, but who hasn’t yet committed herself to participate in them. She is strong, but reluctant. She is strong enough to stand up to the Norse pantheon, but doesn’t feel a need to prove to anyone just how strong she can be because she’s seen that strength sometimes means very little.

In this story, we see her quite young, and there’s a lot to her backstory that’s hinted at instead of told. We see her as someone capable of becoming a force to be respected but who is currently lost and homesick.

I have a lot of feels on the matter.

Fic Bit

Okay, so I doubt this is ever going to see the light of day anywhere else, and I’m all excited for the Avengers, so have a bite of fic from a Loki/Sigyn fic I was working on awhile ago and may never finish. (Though, I’m about to get a boost of Loki in the Avengers, just like I’ll get a boost of Pepperony, so who knows what will actually happen.)
