I love that her eyes were pink and puffy in this scene because you know she’s been crying and is probably exhausted from looking for and worrying about Tony and I can’t imagine how relieved she must have felt finally seeing Tony again because he is all she has after all. But when they speak nothing’s really changed, they both just shrug it off and joke about it (Tony: “Hmmm. Your eyes are red. Tears for your long lost boss?” Pepper: “Tears of joy. I hate job hunting.”) because that’s who they are and how their relationship works.

(This recast inhabits an alternate universe where all the actors are the right ages at the same time.)

(I started making these ages ago after I came to the realisation that if Iron Man was made in the 30s/40s, Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn would have played Tony and Pepper, but the picspams weren’t in a good format for tumblr, so I’m remaking them.)
